Patria De Cebu’s Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy

It has always been the tradition that after a very long and strenuous trip or even a work week.
We should get pamper ourselves with either a SPA or a massage.  After our grueling yet very fun day trip from Alcoy my body was in need of some sort of healing touch. Tart suggested that we go have a reflexology at Patria de Cebu, I actually got curious and excited at the same time.

They call it Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy, their clinic is located on the left side of the Patria de Cebu building.
This is part of their Alternative Healing Clinic; it is recommended that you do this at least once a week.
To give you a brief background on what it’s all about:

Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. it is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands with a premise that such work effects a physical change to the body”

Here is the MAP

In Patria De Cebu’s Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy is totally different from all the Spa’s or massage centers that you have encountered. First, you will need to bring your own towel and buy their Mineral Oil and 40% Alcohol.
Since they mostly rely on Donations so there is no standard amount.

If this is your first time, it’s going to be a bit painful. But if you are going to have it on a regular basis then the pain will be lessen.

So I suggest you go give it a try!

Tsubasa Chronicles Eye Opener

As I was re-reading the Tsubasa Chronicles Online since i had a hard time locating the manga series online.
I stumbled upon this page which was an eye opener for me, since I am currently creating a post about a company manufacturing a strong anti oxidant. I stumble upon Wikipedia’s list of life expectancy per country and it struck me. The average life expectancy in the Philippines is 71 years after birth.

So this line made me Ponder:

And it made me question myself, are you living the life you wanted or even on the road to it?

I am now 25 years old and I am still very far from where I want my life to be. Still far from my goals in life and this post will be sort of a “note to self”

that life is too short and we need to make every second count.
We need to live for the things we believe in No Matter What!

Tingko Beach Alcoy

Tingko Beach in Acoy was not bad at all for a late “Day at the beach”.
We decided to a day trip to there so that we could relax.
It has been a while since me and my friends had a beach day, two years to be exact.

But the 2 and a half hour ride from the city is quite exhausting, thank god tart and I grabbed a light drink at VIP the night before. So basically we just slept through the entire bus trip.

HOW TO GET THERE:

All you have to do is ride a bus (South Bus terminal) or V-hire to Alcoy. The Bus fare for non-aircon is only Php 90 while for the aircon is around Php 120, I am not sure about the v-hire though.

But one thing I would recommend, the Bus is more comfortable because of the leg room.
The travel time would actually depend on the mode of transportation, since one of the common reasons why our travel time reached almost 2 hours in a half  was because our bus stops all the time to pick up passenger. If it’s going to be a private vehicle the travel time would only be around 1 hour to 1 hour and a half.

Since Tingko Beach is considered a public beach, do not expect it to be like a resort.
You can rent a cottage there for as low as Php200.  Not a bad deal actually and we rented a volleyball for only Php30 unlimited use.

Tingko Beach Alcoy Cebu

Alcoy’s sands and sea is exactly what they said it would be, the water is great and the sand is very fine.
We were able to play beach volley and dive in the sand without any scratches and bruises. Unlike other beaches were their sand contains coral stones; in Alcoy their sands has minimum to no coral stones at all.

Beach Volley + Fine Sand + Good Friends + Alcohol = FUN FUN FUN

Jump Shots!

I have visited a lot of beaches of course but aside from looking forward to the destination, it’s also nice to know that you are with your closes friends and love ones.

Piano Lessons

This is a Sponsored Post in behalf of beginnerpianocourse.com

Does looking at a piano sheet making you feel like this?

One of my many regrets growing up was that I never really had any patience in learning any musical instruments. My biggest wish was to really learn how to play the PIANO.
When I was in high school, we have a subject called M.A.P.E which stands for (MUSIC, ARTS, and PHYSICAL EDUCATION) and I remember we tackled piano at that time, but my heart was not exactly in it already I was more focused on other subjects and sports.

Now growing up and finally having the ability to manage my schedule. My current job is not as demanding as my previous one; I finally have some free time. I finally manage to create my personal bucket list; and One of them is “Learn to play piano” even just to the intermediate level.

Since we are in the internet era, I tried searching for module or any affordable alternative ways to learn piano online. I stumbled at beginnerpianocourse.com; for as little as 20 minutes a day you should be able to learn how to play the piano and play your favorite songs.

They created their own beginners program that will allow you to learn piano quickly, easily and in an affordable manner.

I totally agree with them that one is too old to learn how to play the piano!

Visit their Website and see for yourself!

NILAMAW | AVOCADO SUMMER TREAT

Summer has just officially ended! (as per PAGASA)
Since school has just started (for some it will be next week).
So say goodbye to those long hours of gimmick and beach parties and say hello to books, assignments and projects.

Well for me since I graduated 5 years ago, the end of summer usually means colder weather!
Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. It is still pretty hot and humid here in the queen city of the south (CEBU).
Not to mention the annoying rotating brownouts in the city! (Arrrrggg)

In order to beat the summer heat, aside from hitting the nearest starbucks and grabbing a green tea frap.
Since the fruit of the season is AVOCADO, tart decide to make a cold AVOCADO treat to help beat the summer heat.

I am really not quite sure what the literal English translation is but in Cebu we call it LAMAW or NILAMAW

It’s actually very refreshing and tasty at the same time.

The recipe is very simple, you just need Condense Milk, sugar and of course your RIPE avocado (make sure it’s ripe since avocado is quite bitter when it’s not yet ripe) and just mix all of it.

There are two ways to do it! You can add ice on it that’s the regular way to do it and the other is you put the avocado in the freezer then when about to be frozen you take it out, add milk and sugar and mix well. It actually tastes and feels like avocado ice-cream.

Enjoy!

Levi's Kids campaign, For Little Toughies

Check out the one of Levi's Kids campaign For Little Toughies, The  I love the idea were it indirectly states to not just face your fear but conquer it.

Ever heard of the 3 little pigs and their houses? Well these little piggies are not your typical “run and hide for the big bad wolf is here”... They made the big bad wolf into a rug for crying out loud.

For Jack, no way a giant is going to bully him. :)

For Little Toughies... Levi's kids
