Sunset at Tab-ang Leyte en route to Canigao Island

Sunset at Tab-ang Leyte en route to Canigao Island

I was checking out old pictures in an effort to clean my computers memory since I notice it’s starting to run very slow considering it’s a Core DUO. I remember taking this picture around 2 years ago, it was a family trip to my lolo’s home town tab-ang Leyte. Just opposite of the place is Canigao island; a small island which is also a marine sanctuary.

Canigao Island is actually a perfect place to relax and unwind since the water is clean and very cold. It’s actually a very nice Summer Destination! It’s only a fast craft and a multicab away from cebu.

On Clouds and Optimism

“A pessimist only sees the dark side of the clouds, and mopes; a philosopher sees both sides and shrugs; an optimist doesn't see the clouds at all--he's walking on them.”

Work Memo

For the past couple of weeks I have been really busy with work and stuff. Yes! You got it right Work!
Workload has significantly increased in the past couple of weeks. Bjorn my partner at work has just resigned and what was once divided into 2 is now being done entirely by me since Paolo the new guy just got his access to the tools that we use. (Trust me I am not complaining! In fact I love it when I am busy!)

Do that is why for the past couple of weeks my blog has been stagnant… Apologies for that!

At work no matter how busy we are we always take time to smile, visit friends in their station (during lunch or breaks) and yes even have time to post for pictures via Logitech webcam.
It’s only 2 mega pixel so the resolutions is not good.

Here are some of the webcam shots from Jenny! Click click!

Thanks!

Wonder Woman Gets Makeover!

To all DC comics fan out there; I juts heard the news that after saving the world for the last 69 years!
Wonder Woman is finally getting a wardrobe make-over.

Check it out!

According Writer J. Michael Straczynski who is taking over writing the comic, commented on a DC Comics blog post, "I wanted to toughen her up, and give her a modern sensibility." She's been saving the world for 69 years. If you ask us, it's only fair that she finally treat herself to some new threads.

So, what are the specifics? The biggest news is that she'll lose the hot pants, and wear tight blue pants instead. The famous bracelets are still around, but, according to Straczynski, they'll be more colorful, "with a script W on each of them that form WW when she holds them side by side…and if you get hit by one of them, it leaves a W mark." As Straczynski puts it, "this is a Wonder Woman who signs her work."

Personally, it really doesn’t matter what she wears. She is still one of my favorite DC characters of all time!

Patria De Cebu’s Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy

It has always been the tradition that after a very long and strenuous trip or even a work week.
We should get pamper ourselves with either a SPA or a massage.  After our grueling yet very fun day trip from Alcoy my body was in need of some sort of healing touch. Tart suggested that we go have a reflexology at Patria de Cebu, I actually got curious and excited at the same time.

They call it Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy, their clinic is located on the left side of the Patria de Cebu building.
This is part of their Alternative Healing Clinic; it is recommended that you do this at least once a week.
To give you a brief background on what it’s all about:

Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. it is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands with a premise that such work effects a physical change to the body”

Here is the MAP

In Patria De Cebu’s Reflexo-Foot-Theraphy is totally different from all the Spa’s or massage centers that you have encountered. First, you will need to bring your own towel and buy their Mineral Oil and 40% Alcohol.
Since they mostly rely on Donations so there is no standard amount.

If this is your first time, it’s going to be a bit painful. But if you are going to have it on a regular basis then the pain will be lessen.

So I suggest you go give it a try!

Tsubasa Chronicles Eye Opener

As I was re-reading the Tsubasa Chronicles Online since i had a hard time locating the manga series online.
I stumbled upon this page which was an eye opener for me, since I am currently creating a post about a company manufacturing a strong anti oxidant. I stumble upon Wikipedia’s list of life expectancy per country and it struck me. The average life expectancy in the Philippines is 71 years after birth.

So this line made me Ponder:

And it made me question myself, are you living the life you wanted or even on the road to it?

I am now 25 years old and I am still very far from where I want my life to be. Still far from my goals in life and this post will be sort of a “note to self”

that life is too short and we need to make every second count.
We need to live for the things we believe in No Matter What!

Tingko Beach Alcoy

Tingko Beach in Acoy was not bad at all for a late “Day at the beach”.
We decided to a day trip to there so that we could relax.
It has been a while since me and my friends had a beach day, two years to be exact.

But the 2 and a half hour ride from the city is quite exhausting, thank god tart and I grabbed a light drink at VIP the night before. So basically we just slept through the entire bus trip.

HOW TO GET THERE:

All you have to do is ride a bus (South Bus terminal) or V-hire to Alcoy. The Bus fare for non-aircon is only Php 90 while for the aircon is around Php 120, I am not sure about the v-hire though.

But one thing I would recommend, the Bus is more comfortable because of the leg room.
The travel time would actually depend on the mode of transportation, since one of the common reasons why our travel time reached almost 2 hours in a half  was because our bus stops all the time to pick up passenger. If it’s going to be a private vehicle the travel time would only be around 1 hour to 1 hour and a half.

Since Tingko Beach is considered a public beach, do not expect it to be like a resort.
You can rent a cottage there for as low as Php200.  Not a bad deal actually and we rented a volleyball for only Php30 unlimited use.

Tingko Beach Alcoy Cebu

Alcoy’s sands and sea is exactly what they said it would be, the water is great and the sand is very fine.
We were able to play beach volley and dive in the sand without any scratches and bruises. Unlike other beaches were their sand contains coral stones; in Alcoy their sands has minimum to no coral stones at all.

Beach Volley + Fine Sand + Good Friends + Alcohol = FUN FUN FUN

Jump Shots!

I have visited a lot of beaches of course but aside from looking forward to the destination, it’s also nice to know that you are with your closes friends and love ones.
