Those lines say’s it all, how Gabrielle “COCO” Chanel was... a strong, passionate and often times’ misunderstood by people around her. Considering she came from nothing, worked all her way up risked everything even her own happiness in order to prove something not just to the people around her but to herself.

Coming from a poor family, her mother died when she was only a little girl. Her father left them in a convent to be raised by nuns. He promised that when he is already able to find a good work. he would come back for them. When she found out that his dad did not go to the Americas but started a new family. Personally that was a start when she finally decided not to fully trust as much specially men.

In the movie, Coco lived in an era were stereotyping is as normal was wearing fur coat in winter. She was ridiculed and oftentimes humiliated but the one thing I liked about her is that she did not just sit down and pity herself for being an orphan. She walked with her chin up and prove them wrong. She dedicated her entire life to fighting the unfair norms of the era.

She fought a long, hard battle and at the end……. She won….

And knowing this, she has earned not just my admiration… but my respect

Although she lived on a very different era, one of the things that I liked about the movie is Passion and following your heart. She waged her own war… war against bigotry in her times. This inspired me as well to wage my own war, and mind you i will not accept defeat.

The Week that I went AWOL…

What a week! During my birthday week, super busy and yet super fun
Lets start it off with a drinking session with some of my colleagues in the office, that was my inspiration of my YIKES entry almost a week ago.

I am still trying to meet my quota for the conversation 101 in the office, trust me I am not getting any help (Hello?) and I am so far behind, I need a new plan.. hmmmmm

The next big event that happened was my birthday! My full moon birthday to be exact, at the same time it was our ops dinner at Mooon café at The Walk IT park, were Q, gave me a yummy money and since she was not able to find my shirt size and was afraid of giving me a shirt that does not fit, she gave me a Electronic GC for ayala! Yey! (Thanks Q!).

On that same week, I noticed that the moon was also full. I was able to read this!

i really do not know what that really means, i just hope its more into prosperity!

Yes! I am guilty of this, being AWOL on my Blog

I went on awol for the reason’s that there were aspects in my Personal life and love life that needed immediate attention, we rarely have quality time with Pooh, with my parents and even with my siblings. So my goal before the year end would be to have at least one bonding time with them… one day at a time.

Laugh out loud with jokes, eat a whole lot of meat(TGI FRIDAY's), watch a so-so movie (007 Quantum of solace) just to have a bonding time and a whole lot of work talk (trust me! We carry our duties outside the work place).
i think this is a start of a new tradition for our team, at least once a month that we eat out! and just have a plain good time!

Were the World Mine

Here ye! Here ye!

As always! i was trying to browse through on the latest indie film trailers in the hopes that it will somehow entice me to watch it whether online or decide it is worth looking for a CD.

So I looked at the usual sites, You tube and my space. I was able to come across some trailers but none enticed me more than this feature entry of mine.

The movie is called, Were the World Mine, a new independent musical film that’s won several awards at various film festivals. The movie is about this gay guy in a conservative small town who manages to create a love-pansy, inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is also prominently featured in the film. This purple love-pansy (of course it had to be purple!) turns practically everyone in town queer. As expected, campy gay hilarity ensues.

revolving around the question; IF YOU HAD A LOVE POTION, WHO WOULD YOU MAKE FALL MADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU? :)

As usual I cannot wait to for this to be shown in the internet or better yet on the big screen (cinema)

I have to wish that, I hope Santa hears my demands this Christmas… :)

Clean Cut!

For the Past couple of days I have been having a writers block! This is sooo frustrating… anyways while I am going through that phase, pooh and I decided to just get a haircut and get our nails cleaned.

At this day and age I think even men are required to clean their nails! I mean honestly who wants see a cute man with a dirty toenails... I mean… eeeekkkkk!!!!

Of the two letters after my name! (R.N)

Its amazing how I have actually came to work in an outsourcing company, I worked my ass off during college practically did not sleep for a few days just to earn the right to put two letters after my name (R.N.)
Not to mention the anxiety, emotional stress of having to take the nursing licensure board with just around 10-15,000 other nursing students. “This is Insane!” That’s how I describe my college days. Just to realize that would end up as one of the middle management in an OUTSOURCING COMPANY!!!

*TEST TEST TEST*
What’s harder when I was taking that board exam was that I was assigned at the top floor and the last building. (I viewed that automatically as a sign of punishment for my wickedness.. but honestly, its just my nature!)
The view was great; OH boy was the View Great (*wink). I sat down beside Mr. --------.
Well he was only the representative of one of the school during MR PSNA, so yeah he was cute.
I was so determined not to break my concentration and Focus, so I turned him into my inspiration for that day. LICENSE NOW! PLAY LATER!!!! (I kept repeating it inside my head!)

*ANXIETY and Nightmare*

What’s Harder than taking a Test, were your reputation hangs in the balance? That would be waiting for the result that would come out, Oh in just 3 week! 3 weeks!
I started to have nightmares of the results of waiting for that Damn! Result!
I don’t even want to go near any computer, cause in my dream….
I was surfing he the net, then suddenly the screen would pop out in BOLD BIG LETTERS!
----YOU FAILED! YOU FAILED! ------

Damn those nightmares were Freaky! They kept me up all night!
I was literally a walking zombie! Thin, almost looking really dehydrated and has dark circles around my eyes.. But take note! I was THIN! (EVIL LAUGH! BWAHAHAHAAHA)

*My Back-up Plan*
There was a time when we were in housed in that seminary near LEONAS in Mabolo, I forgot the name.
But anyways, it came to a point when I had doubts about whether or not I will pass or fail.
I mean, I don’t exactly have the IQ of my uncle albert E.
Anyways, that’s the time CALL CENTER went into my mind, so I was slowly checking up on the
SUN STAR SUNDAY – Classified Ads for hiring companies. So after that horrible horrible test my classmates and I decided to get wasted and be silly!
So that’s the time I started to apply for different companies and started to fell in love with the job.
Let’s all be honest here I mean we are paid more than being a MEN IN WHITE.
Compensation is good, the culture is excellent and the incentive is GREAT! Especially for my account!
SALES are always the best!
What became my Back-up plan, turned out to be a CAREER.
I do miss working with patient but not as much as working with excellent/fun loving people.
